 Welcome to the new face of the 21st century healthcare - The Wesley Hospital's East Wing, which will receive its first patient on Tuesday 26 May. Officially to be opened by Her Excellency Dr Penelope Wensley AO, Governor of Queensland on 9 July, the $102 million nine level hospital expansion is all about meeting the evolving needs of patient care well into the future.
This means maximising patient comfort by having most beds in private rooms; supporting the very latest in hospital procedures through state-of-the-art facilities and technology; and delivering the types of day surgery and post-hospital services that the community wll most require over the coming years. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the community during the time of construction and thank you for bearing with us as we worked towards the completion of the East Wing.
