Day Rehabilitation

St Andrew’s day rehabilitation program is designed to allow people to attend therapy sessions while living at home. The aim of the program is for patients to re-gain their optimum level of independence.

The program is suitable for people who are unable to perform normal daily activities due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, other neurological conditions, orthopaedic injuries and conditions, falls history, amputation and other debilitating conditions.

The day rehabilitation team consists of two medical consultants, Dr Wilbur Chan and Dr Hoa Lu, a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist with access to nursing, a dietician, podiatrist and case manager.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Research has shown that people who join a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program after a cardiac event or intervention, will regain their health and fitness more quickly.

If you have decided to take some positive action to take control of your life and health, St Andrew's Cardiac Rehabilitation team can help. Cardiac Rehabilitation guides and supports you and your family. It also offers information about changing lifestyle habits and managing heart conditions.

You should try to begin your rehabilitation as soon as possible after leaving hospital, but late is also better than never. For more information and to make an appointment for your initial consultation, phone (07) 3834 4285. You can find more information in our
