To provide first class treatment to our patients, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital acknowledges the necessity to assist novice practitioners in consolidating and applying their knowledge and skills in the clinical setting. 

The aim of our Graduate nurse program is to foster the development of confident and competent Level 1 RNs who are committed to the values of the organisation and to the provision of exceptional standards of evidence- based practice and customer service.

About the program

• It is 12 months duration

• There are 2 rotations of 6 months each (medical/surgical including cardiac)

• Fully preceptored program

• Paid study days throughout the year

• Monthly in-service program catering to the challenges facing new graduates

Following completion of graduate year, the participant, if they wish to, is able to specialise in their area of choice.
